Apply for a Parent Association grant to fund your idea and let us help you!

If you've ever had a great idea for activities, experiences or equipment to help enhance the experience for students at our school, you can apply for a Parent Association grant to make your idea a reality. The Parent Association sets aside money each year to enrich the school experience for our students by funding ideas from parents, students, and staff. Past grants have paid for the playground basketball hoop and jump ropes, baseball gloves for PE, additional rainy day recess activities, building sets for preprimary classrooms, etc. 

The grant process works as follows.

  1. You think up a great idea to enrich the student experience at our school.
  2. You figure out who will apply. It can be any parent, staff member, or student. Students who apply must also have at least one adult parent/staff on the application to handle the funding and ensure the grant is executed on appropriately.
  3. Fill out the grant application by saving the linked document to your computer and filling in the relevant information.
  4. Mail the completed application to the general PA mailbox at ccabellewoodpa@cedarcrestacademy.org
  5. The Parent Association Board votes on all grants shortly after the application deadline and at monthly board meetings for the remainder of the school year. The board selects grants based on benefit for the funds spent and fit for the Parent Association vs. the school itself.
  6. You are notified by the Grants Director whether your application was approved and for how much.
  7. You execute on your idea and submit your expense receipts to the Treasurer.
  8. The Treasurer issues a check to you (or the school for staff applications) for your expenses within the approved amount. 

We need your help to find this year's creative ideas to do the most good. Think about what would help our children flourish, apply for a grant and have the satisfaction of seeing your ideas at work!
